We put the FUN in FUNdraising! This year, the PTA is amping up the fun with spirited t-shirts, friendly competition, and awesome individual and class prizes! The PTA is managing everything again this year, which means nearly all funds raised during Fun Run Week will go directly back to benefit Silva Valley!* Money raised from this event makes it possible for the PTA to fund enrichment programs and activities for the remainder of the school year, including:

Continue funding the Meet the Masters Art Program

Supply a school year's worth of prizes for the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) student store

Continue funding enrichment programs, such as garden, assemblies, author visits.

Purchase updated technology, learning tools, and library books
-
Provide teacher/staff enrichment monies for needed supplementary classroom materials

Beautify the Silva Valley Elementary campus in multiple ways

Plan and deliver family-friendly, community-building events, including the Harvest Festival, family movie nights and the family dance
Our goal is to raise $75,000.
*A nominal fee will be paid to FundHub for use of their fundraising platform, which allows you to reach more donors in less time to maximize fundraising efforts.

Run Day Details
Friday, September 12 on the Silva Valley field
8:10 - 8:30 AM (20 minutes) = AM TK and Kindergarten
8:45 - 9:15 AM (30 minutes) = 5th
9:40 - 10:10 AM (30 minutes) = 2nd / 3rd / LEAD
10:35 - 10:55 AM (20 minutes) = 1st
11:10 -11:40 (30 minutes) = 4th
12:40 - 1:00 (20 minutes) = PM TK and PM Kindergarten
​All students will receive a free Fun Run T-shirt from the PTA to wear on run day, which will be passed out by teachers on the morning of run day.
​
You may come to the race as a spectator, but we could really use your help counting laps and handing out water while you are there.
​
Prizes
Individual and Class prizes will be awarded this year!! Classrooms are teams, and prizes will be awarded daily to the team who raises the most donations in the previous day/time period. Each day, students in the top earning classroom will receive the prizes below. Additionally, the two students (one TK-2nd; one 3rd-5th) who raise the most money in donations (in total) will win
A LABUBU and a $150 Amazon gift card OR an Apple iPad Mini!!

Spirit Days
Teachers will be tracking just how spirited their classes are, and participating students will receive a smart treat daily.

SV SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY (wear green, gold & white) & join us for a VIP Party at the Friday Sweet Treat Stand! All treats $1 each!
Monday, 9/8:: TIE DYE + NEON DAY
Tuesday, 9/9: MISMATCHED + BACKWARDS DAY
Wednesday, 9/10: PAJAMA DAY
Thursday, 9/11: RED, WHITE & BLUE DAY
Friday, 9/12: GET CRAZY! IT’S FUN RUN DAY! Wear team colors (socks, tutus, hats, hair chalk, etc.) Fun Run shirts will be given to students in the morning.


Team Colors
All students will receive a free Fun Run T-shirt from the PTA to wear on race day, which will be passed out by teachers that morning. Each grade has its own team color (though prizes are by classroom, not grade):
TK- Team Yellow
Kindergarten- Team Purple
1st Grade- Team Turquoise
2nd Grade- Team Orange
3rd Grade- Team Red
4th Grade- Team Blue
5th Grade- Team Green
